Day seven in
Monroe, Louisiana started off cold and windy!
Then we
gathered together to caravan out to the Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife
Refuge where we were shown a short movie on wildlife and nature.
The refuge had six maintained trails that we all enjoyed walking and observing the cypress swamp and the 1300 foot wildlife pier over the lake.
The
Conservation Learning Center had live animals, all which are native to
Louisiana.
Some people
gathered at the club house for some entertainment!
Carolyn and Bob were
counting their pennies and dimes.
Gayle teaching Chuck how to play rummy!!!
Sharlet was
busy making some delicious cookies!!
